Zolaten is no longer availableUse Zolaten for the prevention and treatment of cold sores. Zolaten contains an antiviral (acyclovir), which treats infections caused by viruses. Zolaten can also help shorten the healing time of cold sores already visible. Start treatment as soon as you feel the tingling that indicates a cold sore is developing. |
Dosage
| Adults | Apply a small amount of Zolaten to the affected area 5 times a day for 5-7 days |

Caution
See your doctor if your cold sore is no better after 7 days. If you have had an allergic reaction to acyclovir you should consult your doctor before using Zolaten. If you are pregnant or intending to become pregnant, or breast-feeding you should consult your doctor before using Zolaten.
