Butacort Nasal Spray (50 Aqueous)
(CONTAINS - BUDESONIDE 50mcg)
 

Butacort nasal spray contains a corticosteriod (budesonide 50mcg), which gives short-term prevention and treatment of seasonal allergic rhinitis commonly known as Hayfever. Butacort 50 helps alleviate symptoms such as sore itchy eyes, runny nose and blocked sinuses. Butacort nasal spray does take a few days to achieve full effect, so using the spray regularly is important.

Dosage

AdultsInitially one or two sprays into each nostril twice a day (morning and night), then after 2 to 3 days, one spray into each nostril twice a day
Children over 12 years of ageInitially one or two sprays into each nostril twice a day (morning and night), then after 2 to 3 days, one spray into each nostril twice a day
Children under 12 years of ageButacort is NOT suitable for children 12 and under

Caution

Use Butacort nasal spray regularly at the times recommended. Do NOT exceed the stated dosage. If hayfever symptoms persist after 7 days, consult your doctor. You may experience sneezing attacks after using Butacort nasal spray or small amounts of blood in the mucus, if these symptoms persist see your doctor. Do NOT use Butacort nasal spray for more than six months except on the advice on medical advice.
