Polaramine Antihistamine Syrup
(Contains 100ml per bottle. Each 5ml contains dexchlorpheniramine maleate 2mg)
 

Polaramine Antihistamine Syrup is no longer available

Polaramine Antihistamine Syrup contains an antihistamine (dexchlorpheniramine maleate) which will relieve allergy symptoms such as sneezing, watery/itchy eyes. Polaramine will also reduce the itching associated with most insect bites, allergic skin conditions and any irritation caused by hives. Polaramine Antihistamine Syrup is specially formulated for children up to 12 years of age and comes in an apricot or orange flavors. Polaramine is also available as 2mg tablets and as 6mg Reptabs for more information about these two variants please use the Antihistamines & Allergies link on the left of this page.

Dosage

Adults and children 12 and over5ml every 6 hours
Children 6-12 years2-4ml every 6-8 hours
Children 4-6 years1.75-2ml every 6-8 hours
Children 2-4 years1.25-1.75mL every 6-8 hours
Children 1-2 years1-1.25mL every 6-8 hours

For children up to 1 year - use only on the advice of your doctor or pharmacist. Do not use if pregnant or breast-feeding without medical direction. Do not drive or operate machinery if this medication causes you to feel drowsy. Avoid alcohol while using Polaramine.
