Micanol is no longer available

Micanol is indicated for the treatment of chronic psoriasis (including scalp psoriasis). Psoriasis is a skin disorder causing rough raised red patches of skin with a covering of fine, dry, silvery scales. Micanol acts to slow down the rapid division of skin cells that psoriasis causes.

Dosage

For use on skin - apply once daily and wash off with lukewarm water no longer than 30 minutes after application
For use on scalp -wash hair first with shampoo, rinse then apply Micanol while hair is damp.
Leave on for no longer than 30 minutes then rinse off using lukewarm water.
You may shampoo again after Micanol has been removed.

Your pharmacist's advice is required for this product.

Do not use Micanol if you are allergic to any of the ingredients. You should consult your doctor before using Micanol if you have acute pustular psoriasis or if you have inflamed or broken skin. Micanol should not be used on children. Please consult your doctor before using Micanol if you are: pregnant, breast feeding or intending to become pregnant; if you have allergies to any other medications or foods; if you have recently used a product containing corticosteriods or are using a skin product containing propylene glycol. Micanol can stain skin so please follow application directions
