PEPZAN is used for the short-term relief and prevention of heartburn, dyspepsia and hyperacidity (excess acid). The famotidine in PEPZAN reduces the amount of acid produced in the stomach, reducing the pain and then allowing the cause of the pain to heal (such as ulcers). |
Dosage
| Adults and children 12 years and over | To relieve symptoms of heartburn, dyspepsia and hyperacidity take one tablet |
| To prevent symptoms take one tablet 15 minutes before eating. |
| You can repeat the dose if symptoms persist but do not take more than two tablets in any 24 hour period. |

Caution
You should not take PEPZAN if you have an allergy to any of the ingredients or to any other H2 antagonist medications. If you are breast feeding you should not use PEPZAN. If you are pregnant please consult your doctor before taking PEPZAN. PEPZAN should not be taken with non-steriodal anti-inflammatory medication unless under the supervision of your doctor.
PEPZAN is not recommended for use in children.
