| Zovirax Cold Sore Cream |
| (CONTAINS ACYCLOVIR 5%) |
| |
|
| Zovirax cold sore cream contains the active antiviral agent "acyclovir " and can stop a cold sore before it appears. A cold sore is caused by the herpes simplex virus and can be activated by something as simple as feeling 'run down '. The first sign of a cold sore is a tingling, itching or burning sensation, start using zovirax at this stage and it is unlikely the cold sore will appear at all. If it is not treated the sore will proceed to appear. A small raised blotch swells and forms a painful single blister or cluster of blisters. Applying zovirax at this stage can help speed up the healing process by days. Zovirax is available in either an easy to use 2-gram pump dispenser or in a 2-gram tube. Both pump and tube contain enough zovirax to treat three or four cold sore attacks. |
Dosage
| Step one | Squeeze or pump a small amount of cream onto your finger |
| Step two | Apply to the affected area 5 times a day, (about every four hours) |
| Step three | Continue treatment for five days. If full healing has still not occurred after 10 days, or if your cold sore becomes very severe, consult your pharmacist |
| Step four | Do not exceed the stated dose |
