Tips for Receiving More Precise Results
- Use Exact phrases.
If you know an exact phrase, put the phrase in quotes, for example: "cold sore"
- Use lowercase text in your searches.
When you use lowercase text, the search engine finds both uppercase and lowercase results. When you mix uppercase and lowercase text, the search engine only finds mixed-case results.
- Use AND, OR, and NOT.
If you want to refine your search a little, use these special operators to get more specific.
AND searches for pages that have both words in it (cold AND sore).
OR searches for pages that has either word in it (cold OR sore).
NOT eliminates pages where the word is found (cold NOT sore).
- Use wildcards.
By typing an asterisk (*) at the end of a keyword, you can search for multiple forms of the word.
