TELFAST also known in the USA, as ALLEGRA is a fast acting anti-histamine. The active ingredient is called ‘fexofenadine hydrochloride’,
TELFAST comes as either a capsule containing 60mg or a tablet containing 120mg. TELFAST is used to relieve the symptoms of hay fever (seasonal allergic rhinitis) such as sneezing, itchy watery eyes, and itchy, blocked or runny nose. TELFAST does this by blocking the actions
of the histamine that causes these unwanted effects. TELFAST is a non-sedating anti- histamine which means it has been shown not to make you drowsy or slow down your reactions.
Do NOT take TELFAST if you have had an allergic reaction to
fexofenadine or terfenadine (Teldane). You should seek medical advice before taking TELFAST if you are pregnant, breast feeding or you have any allergies to any other medicines, foods, preservatives or dyes.
Adults
One 60mg capsule as required up to twice daily or one 120mg
tablet per day.
Children over
12 years of age
One 60mg capsule as required up to twice daily or one 120mg

Children under 12 should NOT use
TELFAST
Inform your doctor if you are taking any other medicines. It is recommended to leave 2 hours between taking
TELFAST and antacids containing aluminum and magnesium hydroxide.
